
Tavon Brooks Bio
Tavon Brooks is a dedicated community leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for education, running for the St. Louis Public School Board to bring accountability, opportunity, and holistic support to students and families.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Tavon’s life journey took him to Israel, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations and Music. Having attended a full-service community school, he understands firsthand the importance of wraparound services in student success. As a multilingual professional, he is committed to ensuring inclusive and effective communication within diverse communities.
Currently, Tavon serves as the Site Supervisor for Show Me Peace, a community violence prevention initiative under Mission St. Louis, where he works to create safer neighborhoods and positive opportunities for youth. Additionally, he is a licensed Realtor in St. Louis, Missouri, helping families and individuals achieve homeownership.
Beyond his advocacy and professional work, Tavon is the CEO of The Hidden Gem Bed & Breakfast, the first-of-its-kind entrepreneurial co-working space in the region, designed to support and empower small business owners. As a father of one, he is deeply invested in the future of St. Louis' education system and is dedicated to ensuring that every student has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
With a strong background in community engagement, education, and business development, Tavon Brooks is ready to bring innovative leadership to the St. Louis Public School Board and work toward a brighter future for students, families, and educators.
